    بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم

    تشكل شخصية المسيح عليه السلام الفارق المحوري بين المسلمين والنصارى
    ولكل فريق يمثل له هذا الشخص قيمة تختلف عن الاخرى
    لكن ما نتفق عليه ان مكانته عظيمة عند الفريقين لذا فانه عليه السلام يمثل قدوة ومعلم
    وعليه فان كل ما نادى به المسيح في القران يتبعه ويؤمن به المسلمون وكل ما نادى به يسوع في الكتاب المقدس يؤمن به النصارى

    هذه مقارنة بسيطة عن شخصية المسيح / يسوع وتعاليمه ( المتضاربة) في كلا الديانتين
    ليبقى الحكم للقارئ من يتبع؟!



     
    Muslim’s conception of stature of Messiah is radically different from Christian’s. And for each group this person has different values. But what we agree upon is that he has a prestigious status and thus he stands as our example and teacher. And in the light of the foregoing, the Muslims follow and believe in all what Messiah calls for in Quran, and the Christians believe in all what
    Jesus
    calls for in Bible.


    This is a brief comparison between the stature of Messiah vs.
    Jesus
    and his (contradictory) teachings in both religions.


    And reader is left to make the final judgment and decide which one to follow.

    العذراء في القران الكريم والكتاب المقدس


    Virgin in the Koran and the Bible




    يقول القران الكريم ان ابن عمران نذر ابنته لخدمة دينه ولم تتزوج قبل ميلاد المسيح وبعده

    قال الله تعالى:
    {إذ قالت امرأة عمران رب إني نذرت لك مافي بطني محررا فتقبل مني إنك أنت السميع العليم * فلما وضعتها قالت رب إني وضعتها أنثى والله أعلم بما وضعت وليس الذكر كالأنثى وإني سميتها مريم وإني أعيذها بك وذريتها من الشيطان الرجيم * فتقبلها ربها بقبول حسن وأنبتها نباتاً حسناً وكفلها زكريا كلما دخل عليها زكريا المحراب وجد عندها رزقا قال يامريم أنى لك هذا قالت هو من عند الله إن الله يرزق من يشاء بغير حساب } [آل عمران : 35-37].

    ولذا تدعى مريم بالعذراء لانها لم تتزوج بل كرمها الاسلام وقال عنها القران انها غير نسائ العالمين

    {وإذ قالت الملائكة يامريم إن الله اصطفاك وطهرك واصطفاك على نساء العالمين * يامريم اقنتي لربك واسجدي واركعي مع الراكعين * ذلك من أنباء الغيب نوحيه إليك وما كنت لديهم إذ يلقون أقلامهم أيهم يكفل مريم وما كنت لديهم إذ يختصمون }[آل عمران : 42-44]

    "When the wife of Imran said:'O my Lord! I have vowed to You what is in my womb [my child] to be dedicated to Your services, so accept this [my vow] from me. Verily, All-Hearer, the All-Knowing.' Then we she delivered her she said:


    'O my Lord! I have delivered a female child' - and Allah knew better what she delivered - 'And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Maryam and I seek refuge with You for her and for her offspring from Satan, the outcast.' " (Quran 3:35-36)

    The wife of Imran, and mother of Mary, out of her devotion to God vowed to dedicate the child in her womb to the sacred service of God and asked God to accept her vow. Her hopes were in a male child who will be brought up to service the places of worship and be dedicated to serve God. Delivering a female child, she realized that things did not go according to her plan, but decided to fulfill her vow, andMaryam was the name of the child. And she made a prayer for her newly born asking God to protect her and her offspring from Satan. The verses following described the response of God to the vow and to the prayer of the mother:

    "So her Lord accepted her [Maryam] with good acceptance." (Quran 3:37).

    And (remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah has chosen you, purified you (from polytheism and disbelief), and chosen you above the women of the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns) (of her lifetime)."



    يدعى انجيل متى الاصحاح الاول العدد 18-25 : ان مريم العذراء تزوجت من يوسف

    Tells the Gospel of Matthew that Mary was married to Joseph

    أما ولادة يسوع المسيح فكانت هكذا: لما كانت مريم أمه مخطوبة ليوسف، قبل أن يجتمعا، وجدت حبلى من الروح القدس

    ولكن فيما هو متفكر في هذه الأمور، إذا ملاك الرب قد ظهر له في حلم قائلا: يا يوسف ابن داود، لا تخف أن تأخذ مريم امرأتك. لأن الذي حبل به فيها هو من الروح القدس

    فستلد ابنا وتدعو اسمه يسوع. لأنه يخلص شعبه من خطاياهم

    Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

    Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

    But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

    And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

    Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

    Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel,

    Miram is Aaron’s sister and daughter of Amran (Imran) in the bible, but in the Old Testament not New. This is Imran you say is the father of Mary existed over 1000 years previous so cannot be the parents of Mary mother of Jesus. On that basis they would not have dedicated the child in her womb ...Mary.. To the service of God. You must answer why this contradiction is in the Quran. Why would you claim that according to the Quran Mary was the best woman in the world? If Jesus was simply another Prophet in a long line of Prophets then Mary being His mother is no greater an achievement of any other mother of any other Prophet.




    Exodus 4:14 Then the anger of the LORD burned against Moses, and He said, "Is there not your brother Aaron the Levite? I know that he speaks fluently. And moreover, behold, he is coming out to meet you; when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.


    ... Amram(Imran) is the Father of Aaron and Moses (and Miriam) in the Old Testament..


    Exodus 6:20 Amram married his father's sister Jochebed, and she bore him Aaron and Moses; and the length of Amram's life was one hundred and thirty-seven years.... Again Old Testament.


    Mary, the mother of Jesus is the daughter of Heli.


    Luke 3:23 Jesus, when he began his ministry, was about thirty years of age, being the son (as was supposed) of Joseph, the son of Heli,


    Mary was of the tribe of Judah, this is made clear not only in the genealogy of Luke 3, but also Hebrews 7 which states that Jesus descended from Judah not from Levi and that his priesthood is according to Melchesidek.


    Although Luke 3 appears to give a genealogy of Joseph, the Greek word used for Son is Huios which can be used to denote a son from the legal aspect as in .... son through adoption or son in law, hence Joseph was a son in law of Heli.

    كيف يقول الكتاب المقدس ان مريم عذراء وقد تزوجت من يوسف؟

    How does the Bible say that theVirgin Mary.Mary married Joseph?

    There are three passages of Scripture that pertain specifically to the time of Joseph and Mary’s betrothal, the consummation of their marriage, and the birth of Jesus.. Which you have touched on above... Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-56; Luke 2:1-7. Each passage reveals something about their relationship as well as the cultural traditions of that time.


    In Bible times, Jewish marriage customs regarding a couple’s engagement were far different and much more stringent than those we are familiar with today. Marriages were arranged by the parents of the bride and groom and often without even consulting the couple to be married. A contract was prepared in which the groom’s parents paid a bride price. Such a contract was immediately deemed binding, with the couple considered married even though the actual ceremony and consummation of the marriage would not occur for as long as a year afterwards. The time between was a sort of testing of fidelity with the couple having little, if any, contact with each other. I believe this is similar practice found in Islam today... So you should easy understand this.


    It was during this betrothal period that the angel Gabriel visited Mary and told her of her impending pregnancy. Joseph soon became aware of Mary’s pregnancy, and this no doubt was cause for consternation on his part... "Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly" (Matthew 1:19). Jewish custom allowed that they be considered as husband and wife, though the marriage had not yet been consummated. The point is being made that Joseph and Mary had experienced no sexual contact with each other, as verse 18 “before they came together” points out. So, Joseph was in a quandary. Jewish law provided that his betrothed, because of her unfaithfulness, could be placed before the elders for judgment and stoned to death. But he was thinking to just put her away quietly without public knowledge. Betrothals or marriage engagements in those ancient times were binding and could only be terminated by an official divorce decree.


    It was then that the angel appeared to Joseph in a dream and explained to him that all this was bringing about the fulfillment of prophecy that a virgin would bear a child who was to be the Saviour and so he ..(Joseph) did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.


    Luke 2:1-7 also confirms the idea that Joseph and Mary, though betrothed, were considered as husband and wife by Jewish customs even though the actual marriage ceremony had not been fully effectuated. So, Joseph and Mary were actually legally married before the birth of Jesus though their marriage was not consummated physically until after His birth.

    Then she brought him (the baby) to her people, carrying him. They said: "O Mary! Indeed you have brought a thing Fariya (an unheard mighty thing).
    "O sister (i.e. the like) of Harun (Aaron) [not the brother of Musa (Moses), but he was another pious man at the time of Maryam (Mary)]! Your father was not a man who used to commit adultery, nor your mother was an unchaste woman."
    Then she pointed to him. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
    "He ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;"

    there was no need for anyone to exonerate Mary, as God was with her. Who was this "other pious man called Aaron" and by what right did he have to question Mary or slander her parents in such a manner?
    Jesus never spoke as a baby, Jesus was considered to be a normal child for his childhood. The story about Jesus talking as a baby was first to be found in the "Gospel of the Infancy of Jesus Christ". This was a 2nd century Arabic
    apocryphal fable from Egypt.
    Here is the verse, you can see the similarity between it and the sura in the Quran.
    ... Jesus spake when he was in the cradle, and said to his mother: "Mary, I am Jesus the Son of God, the Word, which thou didst bring forth according to the declaration of the angel Gabriel, and My Father hath sent me for the salvation of the world."
    you need to ask the question how a fable written hundreds of years after the birth of Jesus found its way into the Quran.

    the birth of Jesus was not secret it was announced to the world by the Angel Gabriel.. The very same Angel you claim brought the revelation to Mohammed.. So now we have the dilemma do we believe an Angel of The Lord tells a lie? If the Gabriel told Mary, Joseph and the world about the nature of the birth and the reason why... Why do you suppose the same Angel brought a different message 600 years later. This is a question you need to think on and answer.

    وحدثني عن مالك، أنه بلغه أن عيسى ابن مريم، كان يقول يا بني إسرائيل عليكم بالماء القراح والبقل البري وخبز الشعير وإياكم وخبز البر فإنكم لن
    تقوموا بشكره.

    Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Isa ibn Maryam used to say, "O
    Banu Israil! You must drink pure water and the green things of the land and barley
    bread . Beware of wheat bread, for you will not be grateful enough for it."

    "أنا أولى الناس بابن مريم الأنبياء أولاد علات وليس بيني وبينه نبي" .

    Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger () as saying:
    I am most akin to the son of Mary among the whole of mankind and the Prophets are
    of different mothers, but of one religion, and no Prophet was raised between me and
    him (Jesus Christ).

    وحدثني مالك، عن يحيى بن سعيد، أن عيسى ابن مريم، لقي خنزيرا بالطريق فقال له انفذ بسلام. فقيل له تقول هذا لخنزير فقال عيسى إني أخاف أن أعود لساني النطق بالسوء.

    Malik related to me from Yahya ibn Said that Isa ibn Maryam encountered a pig on the road. He said to it, "Go in peace." Somebody asked, "Do you say this to a pig?" Isa said, "I fear lest I accustom my tongue to evil speech."

So 'Umar bin Al-Khattab said, as if out of envy: "So do you acknowledge that for him, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Yes, so acknowledge it."

    Narrated Abu Musa:
    That the Prophet () said: "Many a man achieved perfection, but no woman achieved perfection except for Mariam the daughter of 'Imran, and Asiyah the wife of Fir'awn. And the superiority of 'Aishah over other women is like the superiority of Tharid over other foods."
    He said: There is something on this topic from 'Aishah and Anas.
    [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

    {ما المسيح ابن مريم إلا رسول قد خلت من قبله الرسل وأمه صديقة كانا يأكلان الطعام } [المائدة : 75].
    إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
    [
    And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah]. (45)

    The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded. (75)



    أمرَنا رسولُ اللهِ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلم أنْ ننطلقَ مع جعفرِ بنِ أبي طالبٍ إلى أرضِ النجاشيِّ فذكر الحديثَ . وفيه قال النجاشيُّ لجعفرٍ : ما يقولُ صاحبُك في

    ابنُ مريمَ ولولا ما أنا فيه من المُلكِ لأتيتُه حتَّى أحملَ نَعليهِ امكثوا في أرضي ما شئتُم


    وحدثني عن مالك، أنه بلغه أن عيسى ابن مريم، كان يقول يا بني إسرائيل عليكم بالماء القراح والبقل البري وخبز الشعير وإياكم وخبز البر فإنكم لن
    تقوموا بشكره.

    Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Isa ibn Maryam used to say, "O
    Banu Israil! You must drink pure water and the green things of the land and barley
    bread . Beware of wheat bread, for you will not be grateful enough for it."

    "أنا أولى الناس بابن مريم الأنبياء أولاد علات وليس بيني وبينه نبي" .

    Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger () as saying:
    I am most akin to the son of Mary among the whole of mankind and the Prophets are
    of different mothers, but of one religion, and no Prophet was raised between me and
    him (Jesus Christ).

    وحدثني مالك، عن يحيى بن سعيد، أن عيسى ابن مريم، لقي خنزيرا بالطريق فقال له انفذ بسلام. فقيل له تقول هذا لخنزير فقال عيسى إني أخاف أن أعود لساني النطق بالسوء.

    Malik related to me from Yahya ibn Said that Isa ibn Maryam encountered a pig on the road. He said to it, "Go in peace." Somebody asked, "Do you say this to a pig?" Isa said, "I fear lest I accustom my tongue to evil speech."

    You committed theft. He said: Nay. By Him besides Whom there is no god (I have not committed theft). Thereupon Jesus said: I affirm my faith in Allah It is my ownself that deceived me.

    Narrated Abu Dharr:
    that the Messenger of Allah () said: "There is no one more truthful in speech, nor in fulfilling of promises, that sky has covered and the earth has carried, than Abu Dharr, the likeness of 'Eisa bin Mariam." So 'Umar bin Al-Khattab said, as if out of envy: "So do you acknowledge that for him, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Yes, so acknowledge it."

    حدثنا محمد بن المثنى، حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن عمرو بن مرة، عن مرة الهمداني، عن أبي موسى، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال "كمل من الرجال كثير ولم يكمل من النساء إلا مريم ابنة عمران وآسية امرأة فرعون وفضل عائشة على النساء كفضل الثريد على سائر الطعام " . قال وفي الباب عن عائشة وأنس. قال أبو عيسى هذا حديث حسن صحيح.

    Narrated Abu Musa:
    That the Prophet () said: "Many a man achieved perfection, but no woman achieved perfection except for Mariam the daughter of 'Imran, and Asiyah the wife of Fir'awn. And the superiority of 'Aishah over other women is like the superiority of Tharid over other foods."
    He said: There is something on this topic from 'Aishah and Anas.
    [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

    I do not recognise that the above has anything to do with the teachings of. Jesus, they are to do with Isa in the Quran. Although I am curious why Miriam sister of Moses and the Pharaohs daughter are judged to be the best among women? Or what that has to do with Jesus/Isa and why it is included here.. :/

    في الكتاب المقدس : in the bible

    أنتم الآن أيها الفريسيون تنقون خارج الكأس وأما باطنكم فمملوء اختطافاً وخبثاً يا أغبياء ! ويل لكم أيها الفريسيون ! . . . فأجاب واحد من النامسيين وقال له : يا معلم ، حين تقول هذا تشتمنا نحن أيضاً . فقال : وويل لكم أنتم أيها الناموسيون ! انجيل لوقا [ 11 : 39 -41]

    I feel here you have chosen this verse because it makes Jesus to be rude and insulting. This is a case of not understanding what you are reading.. And why would you? It is to be expected as the Bible is not your Holy Book and you do not respect it as such.
    To explain... The Pharisees were strict at upholding the law, they believed their salvation depended on their strict adherence to the law.. This became woven into their traditions and they were at risk of selfishness and greed creeping into their works and not realising the fact. In other words they paid more attention to the outward appearances .. Example showed in "make clean the outside of the cup and platter" whilst forgetting that the important thing to God was there inner being and what they felt in their hearts. They had become so wrapped up in their prideful adherence to the law they forgot that giving away their goods and acting charitably towards others was more pleasing to God. By behaving charitably they were more likely to achieve salvation.. Because man cannot be saved by the law alone.

    *Pharisees* ~A very numerous sect among the Jews, who, originally were, very probably, a pure and holy people, however..in process of time, they degenerated... Losing the spirit of their institution, as we see in the above account that by making the outside of the cup and platter clean - they observed the rules of their institution, but the spirit was gone.


    *Sadducees* ~A sect who denied the existence of angels and spirits, consequently all Divine influence and inspiration, and also the resurrection of the dead


    *Come to his baptism* ~The multitudes, who had no worldly interest to support, no character to maintain by living in their usual way, came publicly, and openly acknowledged that they were Sinners; and stood in need of mercy. The others, who endeavored to secure their worldly interests by making a fair show in the flesh, are supposed to have come privately, that they might not be exposed to reproach; and that they might not lose their reputation for wisdom and sanctity, which their consciences, under the preaching of the Baptist, told them they had no right to.


    *O generation of vipers*~ A terribly expressive speech. A serpentine brood, from a serpentine stock. As their fathers were, so were they, children of the wicked one. This is God's estimate of a Sinner, whether he be wealthy or famous.The Jews were the seed of the serpent, who should bruise the heel of the woman's seed, and whose head should be bruised by him.

    *Who hath warned you* ~ Or shown you...they received their convictions through the ministry of the word Jesus. The multitudes of the poor, who had been convinced of sin, and publicly acknowledged their crimes, and sought mercy. The Pharisees thought they were above such conviction but... God knows.. They may have deceived the people, and deceived themselves thinking as descendants of Abraham they were entitled to Gods Favour. Just as God raises up God can cast down.


    *The wrath to come*~ The desolation which was about to fall on the Jewish nation for their wickedness, and threatened in the last words of their own Scriptures. This wrath or curse was coming, they did not prevent it by turning to God, and receiving the Messiah, and therefore the wrath of God was expected upon them.

    Whosoever shall swear by the gold...The covetous man still gives preference to the object of his lust.. gold has still the first place in his heart. A man is to be suspected when he recommends those good works most from which he receives most glory to himself instead of giving the glory to God.

    *Get thee behind me, Satan*~ The word "Satan" means "an adversary," or one who opposes us in the accomplishment of our designs.

    It is applied to the devil, as the opposer or adversary of man...but there is no evidence that the Lord Jesus meant to apply this term to Peter, as signifying that he was Satan or the devil, or that he used the term in anger. He may have used it in the general sense which the word bore as an adversary or opposer.. and the meaning may be, that such sentiments as Peter expressed then were opposed to him and his plans. His interference was improper. His views and feelings stood in the way of the accomplishment of the Saviour's designs.
    *Thou art an offence*~ That is, a stumbling-block. Your advice and wishes are in my way. If followed, they would prevent the very thing for which I came.


    *Thou savourest not*~ Literally, thou thinkest not upon; or Peters language and spirit are not such as spring from a supreme regard to the will of God, or from proper views of Him, but such as spring from the common views entertained by people. He was thinking that those things should not be done which God wishes to be done.. Because it was personally painful to himself. Peter was putting His own feelings on the impending death of Jesus before the will of God.

    يقول يسوع في انجيل لوقا الاصحاح 12 العدد 51

    "أتظنون إني جئت لأعطي سلاما على الأرض كلا أقول لكم بل انقساما"

    " لا تظنوا أني جئت لألقي سلاماً على الأرض ، ما جئت لألقي سلاماً ، بل سيفاً ، فإني جئت لأفرق الإنسان ضد أبيه، والابنة ضد أمها، والكنة ضد حماتها، وأعداء الإنسان أهل بيته " (متى 10/34 - 36).


    Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

    For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.


    And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.


    "جئت لألقي ناراً على الأرض. فماذا أريد لو اضطرمت. . أتظنون أني جئت لأعطي سلاماً على الأرض.كلا، أقول لكم. بل انقساماً. لأنه يكون من الآن خمسة في بيت واحد منقسمين، ثلاثة على اثنين، واثنان على ثلاثة. ينقسم الأب على الابن، والابن على الأب. والأم على البنت، والبنت على الأم.والحماة على كنتها، والكنة على حماتها" (لوقا 12/49- 53)


    I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

    But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!


    Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
