Dr. Dirks is twisting the Bible to make it say what he wants to believe. No Christians believe Jesus is the father God. Jesus is His Word made flesh. Of course the father is greater in position, office and function, but Jesus is equal in nature, essence and character to the father. That is why Jesus said "If you have seen me you have seen the father." It is written that God exalts His word above all His name. Dirks mentioned that Jesus calls the father his God, but he fails to mention that the father calls Jesus God as well. Basically, Dr. Dirks is a manipulator of Scripture, and he will be severely punished unless he repents and rightly so.

God is not the only source of guidance. You are holding Dr Jerald Dirks up to be some kind of Christian scholar and an authority when it comes to Bible interpretation. Wake up smell the coffee .. He is just a man. His lack of understanding about Christianity is obvious. He is misguided but not by God, God gave him the truth he has twisted it to his own ends, for that he will answer as will all you dishonestly handle scripture in such ways. He has made his choice... It is God who puts in me the will to do according to His good pleasure and that is what I pursue. Jesus has already told me that He is the way (Straight narrow path that leads to life), and truth.
