Shanghai Clinical Research Center Chooses Oracle® Clinical to Help Drive its Mission to Enable World-Class Drug Development in China
Oracle Clinical Selected as Strategic Foundation of Center’s Clinical Data Management Platform

Shanghai Clinical Research Center (SCRC) has selected Oracle® Clinical to achieve its vision of helping to enhance and optimize drug development capabilities in China.
Founded by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Shanghai Municipality in early 2008, SCRC operates as a third-party platform offering a wide range of clinical management solutions to customers in the industry.
Oracle was selected because of its comprehensive integrated suite of applications to support clinical development.
The products can be deployed individually or together, providing flexibility with centralized clinical data integration to accommodate SCRC’s needs as the company grows.
These capabilities are critical to SCRC developing a core resources platform covering most of the clinical research sites nation-wide. SCRC plans to roll out a “one site, six centers” framework, which includes the Phase I Clinical Research Unit, Clinical Research Management Center, Data Management and Statistics Center, Training Center, Central Lab, Bio-Bank and Translational Medical Research Center.
Oracle Clinical’s reputation as the ‘gold standard’ for clinical drug development platforms will enable SCRC to offer a wider range of data management solutions to its customers, thus laying a foundation for its eventual expansion to serve global pharmaceutical companies.
