A prophet says Hell is dark black!


They said:
One of the myths told by the Prophet of Islam is: Hell is black not red, for this they refer to what is narrated by Al Tirmthy in his Sunan number 2516:
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said:
"The Fire was kindled for one thousand years until it reddened, then it was kindled for one thousand years until it whitened, then it was kindled for one thousand years until it became blackened, so it is dark black." (Da'if)
Swaid said to us that Abdulla Bn Mubarak narrated from Sharik from Assim from Abi Salih or another man from Hurairah this hadith and he did not considered it to be as statement of Prophet, Abu Esa said:
As for the tradition narrated by Abu Hurairah what is correct is that it is Mawquf (not connected to the Prophet.) I do not know if anybody narrated it except for Yahya Bn Abi Bukair from Sharik.
