Better Financial Forecasting, Planning and Analysis with a Single Version of the Truth

Prior to Oracle, eSilicon managed financial forecasting and planning with spreadsheets. The manual process was time consuming, error-prone and lacked security, version control and data integrity.
To automate its reporting process and meet global demands for real-time information, eSilicon implemented Oracle Hyperion Planning, Oracle Hyperion Workforce Planning, Oracle Essbase and Oracle Data Integrator.
eSilicon selected Oracle EPM and BI software based on ease of use, cost-efficiency, robust functionality, and ability to integrate seamlessly with its existing systems and applications including the Oracle E-Business Suite.
eSilicon rolled out the software in just three months to select global stakeholders, enabling the company to consolidate cross-office data between applications to obtain a single source of information regarding budgets, bookings, billings and backlog, statistical information, head count, and other key business variables.
eSilicon has also eliminated the complexity of managing multiple forecasts – allowing it to now easily run comparisons and variable analysis in real-time.
In addition, the consolidated Oracle-based planning system allows users to easily create, populate and distribute custom reports, run “what-if” scenarios, forecast for both financial and non-financial metrics, such as headcount, and more.
While currently a dozen finance and business people are accessing the new Oracle solutions, eSilicon plans to extend Oracle Hyperion Planning and Oracle Essbase to all business users, including sales, marketing, operations and the executive staff in the future.
