Hijab: The Muslim Head-Covering
First,
Welcome to our forum
Hoping that you can have your long desired object
Second,
Sorry dear, the Islamic sources are Qur'an and Sunnh, the prophet's speech", only
So, your friends are not a reliable source of information ...
This is a good evidence of their ignorance!!!
What is hijab?
Hijab is two sections:
1- Appearance section
Wearing baggy clothes which cover the body from the head to the toes.
The clothes musn't be transparent, tight or eye-catching.
Moreover, women should lower the gaze; not to talk to stranger males; lower her voice ...etc.
2- Spiritual section
In whish she feels that it's a divine order, and she accepts and likes it for the sake of Allah; to feel that she wears it to satisfy Allah; to feel that she is not a mean thing for passersby; to wear it on her body and apply the what the hijab demands regarding her behaviors and manners.
Sorry again ,
Hijab is not sunnah!!!
It's obligatory .
Allah orderd all female Muslims to wear it .
33|59|O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, that so they may be recognized and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
Third,
Christian women are ordered to wear it,
It's obligatory in Christianity, too.
Why Christian women hate applying the divine order?!!!!
Let the Bible Speak
1Co 11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
1Co 11:6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
1Co 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
1Co 11:8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
1Co 11:9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
1Co 11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
1Co 11:11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
1Co 11:12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
1Co 11:13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
1Co 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
1Co 11:16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
It means: Cover your head or shave it
Although in this verse women were ordered to wear it during prayers, it means this is the best style the God needs her to wear, isn't it?...
Waiting for your anwser...
Best regards

Good evening
I would like to extend to you my deepest gratitude and thanks for the genuine and clear elaboration on the subject matter at hand. I shall, God is willing, reflect on what you have said and indeed I shall research the issue at great length. My intention is to be inlighten to the truth not only of the Hijab, but also regarding many other issues of concern to me. Thank you again and may God Bless Us All Amen
You are Welcome
It's your right to ask about whatever comes to mind, as long as you keep on this decent style.
Take your time
Dear sir,
Let me thank you for trying to gain your information about Islam from Muslims. AS no body else can tell you the real facts about Islam but Muslims.
Then it will be your time to think deeply, understand, compare, analyse and take your decision
I'll be happy to answer all your questions ....
Waiting for you,
My best wishes

Reflecting and complimenting you for your words "as long as you keep on this decent style". As a Christian, I know no other way for conducting myself except in style...through decency in both, "the word and the deed. Thank you again and May God Bless Us All Amen
وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته
Jazaki Allah Kheir, too
I am sorry sister,
I should have taken your permission first before answering his questions....
But what made me do that was, the same aim both of us have
which is calling on Allah ....
So, foregive me, sister
