The corruption of the gospel of Mark : one example the resurrection story

Usually when Christians are faced by evidence of the corruption of their texts, they go on to shout :

You Muslims do not love Jesus , you Muslims are fabricating the truth , these varriations and corruptions do not affect the central theme of the bible.

When I hear such excuses from them I wonder whether they have read the history of the collection of the New testament and especially the gospels


Here is one huge corruption and contradiction that hits the central them of christianity :

The Ending of the gospel of Mark ends at Mark 16:8 :

And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to anyman; for they were afraid.

The rest of Mark 16 does not exist in the oldest manuscripts such as

The oldest COMPLETE NEW TESTEMENT Codex Sinaiticus Dating to almost 350 AD

The Christian online bible clearly admits this by stating :

Some of the earliest manuscripts do not include 16:9–20.

This would mean that the Christian manuscripts of the FIRST FOUR CENTURIES do not contain the passages Mark 16: 9-20

This would mean that the actual ending of Mark does actually contradict the other ressurection accounts

According to Matthew :

8And they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy and ran to report it to His disciples. 9An
d behold, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him.10Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and take word to My brethren to leave for Galilee, and there they will see Me.


According to Luke :
…2And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.4While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing;5and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living One among the dead?.......8And they remembered His words,9and returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.…

As can be seen from the passages in the synoptic gospels , there is a clear contradiction

The gospel of Mark ends with the three ,Mary the mother , Marry magdalene and Salome telling no one and they were scared nor did they see Jesus!!!!

And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

remember the gospel of Mark is considered the oldest gospel written about 40 AD


While in the gospel of Matthew :

8 So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him

Here they tell the deciples and see Jesus

The same also applies to the gospel of Luke with more additions


This concludes that both the writers of Matthew and Luke who were copying from Mark added to the ressurection story in order to make it look better!!!!

This gives a clear contradiction in the story , the writer of Mark did not believe in Jesus appearing to the deciples and that the women who went to visit his grave did not tell the deciples so they never knew !!!!!!!
This also shows that some of the oldest Christians in 40 AD did not believe in the current ressurection story !!!!!!!

This was the situation of the ressurection account in Mark for the first FOUR centuries so the church fathers in the fifth century Added to the gospel of Mark in order to avoid such contradiction from the readers mind and eyes!!!!

However two questions arrises :

1. If the addition and varriation did not affect the central theme of the gospels , why was it so necessary to add the verses 9-20 to Mark !!!???

2. Are the additions 9-20 inspired by God??? If not then the bible contains human passages and alterations and cannot be trusted !!!!
