قَالَ رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم :
‏"‏ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لاَ يُؤْمِنُ عَبْدٌ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لِجَارِهِ - أَوْ قَالَ لأَخِيهِ - مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ"
The messenger of Allah (pbuh) said :"By Him in whose Hand is my life said: no slave (truly) believes till he likes for his neighbour- or he said for his brother- whatever he likes for himself,"
Commentary :
This Hadith is an international declaration from the last message of Allah (pbth) "Islam" by the last messenger of Allah Muhammad the son of Abdullah (pbuh ). That Islam is the religion of love and peace and the relationship between individuals is based on love in the sake of Allah (pbth).The messenger of Allah (pbuh) warned us that the belief of any one will not be completed till he loves for his brother (every Muslim of course including his neighbour) what he loves for himself.Islam is based on Love and Peace .Can that be achieved in fact ? Can any one love the other as he loves himself ? Is that possible ? Yes, the messenger of Allah achieved that in Madina between the immigrants (Mohagreens) who the unbelievers in Mukka enforced them to leave Mukka their city without taking their wealth or their properties . The messenger (pbth) fraternized between them and the folk of Madina (the supporters) (Ansar) because the relation between them is the bond of faith not the bond of blood. So The Supporters (Ansar) divided their properties with the Immigrants with all love and friendship and that was rare in the history of humanity.One of the (Ansar) had two pairs of footwear and had two wives .He said to his immigrant brother " Take a pair of footwear and look at my two wives ,choose one of them to be your wife. I can divorce one and you can marry her" but the immigrant said to him "Thank you but please guide me to the market" .He wanted to earn his living from trading. To this limit was the faith brotherhood in the earlier Muslims !!!!!! In fact when faith ornaments hearts life will be happier.
قَالَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم:
‏"‏ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ لاَ يَأْمَنُ جَارُهُ بَوَائِقَهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

The messenger of Allah (pbuh ) said "He will not enter Paradise whose neighbour is not secure from his wrongful conduct"
قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم :


"ما زال جبريل يوصيني بالجار ، حتى ظننت أنه سيورثه"

"Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Jibril kept recommending treating neighbours with kindness until I thought he would assign a share of inheritance (for the neighbour)"

"والله لا يؤمن ، والله لا يؤمن ، والله لا يؤمن . قيل : من يا رسول الله ؟ قال : الذي لا يأمن جاره بوائقه

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer.'' It was asked, "Who is that, O Messenger of Allah?'' He said, "One whose neighbour does not feel safe from his evil" ( Al –Bnkhari and Muslim )
قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم :
"من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فلا يؤذ جاره ، ومن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الأخر فليكرم ضيفه ، ومن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فليقل خيرا أو ليصمت " الراوي: أبو هريرة المحدث: البخاري - المصدر: صحيح البخاري - الصفحة أو الرقم: 6136 خلاصة حكم المحدث: [صحيح]
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who believes in Allah and the Last Day let him not harm his neighbour; and he who believes in Allah and the Last Day let him show hospitality to his guest; and he who believes in Allah and the Last Day let him speak good or remain silent". ( Al-Bukhari and Muslim )
Commentary :
In these Ahadith The messenger of Allah (pbuh) invites us to concentrate on the love of neighbours and looking after them because if every one loves his neighbours all the society will love each other because we are all neighbours .This society can export love to other societies because love is an infective feeling .These Ahadith illustrate the importance of nice treatment to neighbours in Islam and reveal that hurting or troubling a neighbour is such a serious offence that it causes Allah's Wrath, and thus punishment in Hell .Let's see what Allah said in the Quran about that :
وَاعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ وَلاَ تُشْرِكُواْ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَبِذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْجَارِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْجَارِ الْجُنُبِ وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالجَنبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالاً فَخُورًا . (4/36)
"Serve Allah, and join not any partners with Him; and do good- to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbours who are near, neighbours who are strangers, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (ye meet), and what your right hands possess: For Allah loveth not the arrogant, the vainglorious" (4/36)
