Honeybees in The Holy Quran

Dear Muslims and Non-Muslims,

The Holy Quran tells us marvelous scientific facts about honeybees.

“68 And your Lord (Allah) revealed to the bees: Build your hives in mountains, trees and in what people build.”
“69 Then eat (for females) from every fruit and follow (for females) your Lord's enslaved paths, from their bellies (for females) exits drink of different colors, in it healing for man. These are signs for those who contemplate”. Surat An-Nahl (The Bees)

1- The Holy Quran refers to bees that generate the honey as females (the Arabic grammar is in the female mode: “Kuli”, “Usluki”, butuniha.. etc. ) and as we know The worker bees who gather pollen and make honey are only the females.

2- (from their bellies exits drink) bellies, not heads nor trunks, science tells us that in bee’s abdomen there is a “honey stomach” where many enzymes convert the nectar into a liquid, honey stomach serves as a reservoir for liquids to be later regurgitated many times until they become honey.

3- God says (drink of different colors) that refers to the variant products of bees which are not only honey but bees venom, propolis, and bees wax as well.
And all of them are produced in their (bellies)! Wax glands and venom gland are located in the abdomen.

4- (in which there is healing for people): the different products of honeybees are useful in treating many diseases, it’s useful to the gastrointestinal system, the respiratory system, the nervous system, wounds, ulcers, and burns... etc.
Also they have antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

5- (follow your Lord's enslaved paths) or in another translation: (follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you].) Bees need convenient Temperature, Light Intensity and Relative Humidity to fly and gather pollens and nectar.

6- (These are signs for those who contemplate)
Dear Non-Muslims,, Honeybees invite you to believe that The Holy Quran is God’s word, would you put aside your romance and contemplate?
