Oracle Press Release
Customers Using SAP Applications Continue to Select Oracle® Enterprise Performance Management System for Financial and Operational Management

Oracle’s Industry-Leading EPM System Enables Organizations to Integrate with and Leverage Investments in SAP and Non-SAP Systems

Redwood Shores, CA - April 29, 2010
News Facts

Customers across all industries and around the globe continue to select Oracle® Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) software to manage and optimize financial and operational performance across the enterprise while leveraging their investments in SAP systems.
Customers relying on Oracle EPM software in conjunction with SAP include Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Hess Corporation, Kesko Corporation, Pearson, PUMA, Stanley Black & Decker, Ursus Breweries, amongst many others.
Oracle’s EPM System is hot-pluggable and integrates with Oracle and non-Oracle data sources and transactional systems, including SAP.
Approximately 89 percent of SAP customers in the Global Fortune 500 use Oracle EPM or Business Intelligence.
Roughly 45 percent of Oracle EPM customers use SAP. In all, over 4,000 global customers using Oracle Hyperion performance management applications and Oracle Essbase also use SAP.
Pre-built Integration between Hyperion Applications and SAP Systems

Oracle’s EPM System brings together category-leading Hyperion performance management applications, packaged BI applications and a foundation of BI products into a complete and integrated system. It complements SAP transactional systems and data warehouses, enabling customers to take advantage of their investments and data in these systems to improve decisions and manage performance across business functions.
To further help reduce the complexity and costs of integrating SAP financial data into Hyperion applications and Essbase, Oracle introduced a pre-packaged source adapter in 2009 that integrates SAP (versions R/3 4.6c and ECC 6) General Ledger data into Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Strategic Finance applications as well as Essbase for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
The combination of Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management and the SAP adapter enables customers to:
Leverage SAP data for performance management by automating the collection, mapping, movement and validation of data from the general ledger system into Hyperion applications and Essbase;
Drill back to the source system from Hyperion applications and view transactional details in SAP; and,
Simplify the implementation of Hyperion applications with SAP systems, resulting in faster deployments upfront as well as lower total cost of ownership over time.
The recently unveiled Oracle EPM System Release 11.1.2 introduced two new applications – Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management and Oracle Hyperion Disclosure Management – that utilize Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies to deliver standards-based integration with SAP systems. These new applications address critical needs in financial close and statutory reporting for customers.
