To help content developers create content in a more dynamic and interactive fashion, Oracle is announcing the availability of the latest versions of Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK) 3.6.1, Oracle User Productivity Kit Professional 6.3, and Oracle Tutor 12.2 to support enterprise applications, including Oracle, third party and custom applications.
Oracle UPK and Oracle UPK Professional are content development platforms used to create and deliver documentation, simulations, and in-application performance support, providing value throughout the lifecycle of your portfolio of applications. Combined with Oracle Tutor’s word processor-based business process documentation tool, these products help accelerate user adoption and help enable the success of enterprise applications.
Oracle UPK and Tutor are essential in helping organizations capture, retain and disseminate corporate knowledge thereby improving workforce effectiveness, and reducing implementation costs through standardization and consolidation.
With the latest version of Oracle UPK, customers receive the benefits of rapid content creation with an enhanced sound studio simplifying the addition of voice across all content types.
Oracle Tutor 12.2 significantly streamlines the creation and deployment of business process documentation, deploying knowledge in the context of how people do their job, and helping to address regulatory and compliance issues facing all organizations.
Additional Features and Details

Oracle UPK 3.6.1 offers the following new capabilities:
Feature-Rich Sound Editor – Allows users to create engaging conceptual content with enhanced sound recording, editing, and playback capabilities, including sound over Web pages, slide presentations, and transactional simulations.
Output to PowerPoint Files – Enables users to easily export screen shots and instructional text to create customizable Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
Launch and Edit Packages – Allows users to open and edit items directly within a package to reduce content editing time and costs.
Context Sensitivity – Offers context sensitivity for Oracle and SAP applications, which is key to providing users with the right information at the right time.
Oracle Tutor 12.2 offers the following new features:
Enhanced, Customizable User-facing HTML Documents – With a modern and intuitive user interface, including introduction, task and flowchart tabs, users can quickly navigate between various types of policy and procedure information.
Dynamically Show or Hide document detail – Users can choose to “hide” or “show” all details for easier readability of detailed policies and procedures.
Assistive Technologies Support - An accessible/printable link removes the tabs and expands details, displaying an HTML version that is more readily accessible to Assistive Technologies and better formatted for printing.
New features of these products enable customers to create more engaging content to increase knowledge transfer; reduce content development & maintenance time, and streamline access and deployment of both transactional and procedural documentation.
Customers who are current on maintenance can upgrade to the latest version at no charge.
In addition, Oracle UPK pre-built content, available for many Oracle Applications, helps reduce transactional content development time as companies can easily customize a prebuilt library of transactional recordings to meet their unique business needs.
