Oracle Press Release
Oracle Positioned in Leaders Quadrant in Most Recent Business Intelligence Platforms Magic Quadrant

Redwood Shores, CA - February 3, 2010
News Facts

Gartner’s 2010 “Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms” positions Oracle in the Leaders Quadrant, Oracle announced today. (1)
Gartner Magic Quadrants position vendors within a particular market segment based on their completeness of vision and their ability to execute on that vision.
According to Gartner, “leaders are vendors that are reasonably strong in the breadth and depth of their BI platform capabilities, and can deliver on enterprise wide implementations that support a broad BI strategy. Leaders articulate a business proposition that resonates with buyers, supported by the viability and operational capability to deliver on a global basis.”
The Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Foundation offers comprehensive analytic and BI capabilities for ad hoc analysis, OLAP, interactive dashboards, advanced reporting and publishing, proactive detection and alerts, mobile analytics, and more. Its hot-pluggable design enables organizations to extend BI capabilities to existing Oracle and non-Oracle data sources and applications including SAP.
The Oracle BI Foundation serves as the technical foundation for Oracle’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system as well as Oracle BI Applications. Oracle BI Applications are complete, prebuilt solutions for Oracle and non-Oracle applications that enable customers to achieve fast time to value by reducing deployment time and help lower overall total cost of ownership.
