Why christians hate muslims?

Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

Dear Heart, may I ask what is your agenda in posting these verses? Is it that you feel they tell Christians to somehow "hate" muslims?

For the Psalms that you quote are from the Old Testament. It shows that as the psalmist was reflecting on the fact that God is everywhere present, that he searches the hearts of people, that he must know all their conduct, he was suddenly struck with the idea of the condition of wicked people in the presence, and under the eye, of such a Being. As God knows all things, he must know them... and this instantaneously suggested the idea of their guilt and danger. People of such characters could not deceive God. They would be known to him for what they were.. and could with such wickedness of heart not be surely anything other than objects of Gods aversion. By saying .. Depart from me ye bloody men, is a term that denotes bad person, the psalmist wishes to distance himself from such a person, to have nothing to do with him lest he be tainted by his wickedness. You know the Psalms were written during the time of David. Do you then think these verses in any way apply to muslims? Or do you believe these verses imply that Christians should hate muslims??

For 2 John 1:7-11... Here is the verse in full for you to understand the context.



7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8 Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11 Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.


John is warning followers of Jesus about false teachers. It warns to beware of Satan's next onslaught. That we should stay strong in faith in The Lord. Do you feel you fit this description? Do you feel we should hate you for the message you uphold which is contrary to the teachings of Jesus?

John also commands us to "love one another." ... True Christian love as Jesus showed is embodied in the Golden Rule.... Do unto others, as you would have them do unto John commands us to "love one another." Is it possible to command "love?" Yes, for sure, when we realize what true Christian love entails. This love is embodied in the Golden Rule: Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. Christian love goes beyond the emotional aspect and is actually embodied in an act of our will. Our proper attitudes and actions lead us to be able to express true Christian love. It is this attitude of love that will help us deal properly with our fellow Christians as well as false teachers. It's through love that I share my thoughts with you on this forum.. I do not know you.. You could be a bad person.. Tho I'm sure you're not and are very likely a good person who believes you are serving God in the best way you can. What kind of person you are is not an issue.. You are part of Gods creation and although you have shut your heart, eyes and mind to anything I may have to say. It does not mean I do not love you as a sister in humanity still and pray that every person can know Gods love through His Word.. Jesus.
