I'm sorry Dear Heart, but this article shows a serious lack of understanding about sin! Mistakes are not the same as sin..

The author shows the Bible prophets ..Adam for example.. to have sinned.. Or made mistakes.. And God simply forgave them. No penalty paid???? Yet we see in this world today the consequences of that very penalty. You seem to think that God is acting in mercy when He simply forgives, just because God can?? That would mean God would be acting contrary to His divine nature, that of being just. It is not possible for God to act thus. God decreed that sin carries a penalty that must be paid.

If someone had committed a crime against you and was taken to court to be judged. If the judge, in an act of mercy.. let this person go free of charge out of a sense of pity for extenuating circumstances put forth.. Would you feel let down? Would you feel you had not received the justice due to you as your right? God has to be just.. And to be just the penalty for sin must be paid. God through His infinite love and mercy paid that price for us... So we who are washed in the blood of the sinless lamb of God.. Jesus the Messiah.. Can stand repentant before a Holy God and take the place that was always meant that we should be.

Peace.
