Surely, you can quote something out of context, and I can correct you, and you can do the same but every Christian get mad reading his own holy text! That is a mystery, if these words make you feel uncomfortable, how can you attribute such words to God, and these acts to his messengers?
Huria, enough already. You can quote what you like from the Bible or any other book you like. I am certainly not offended by any criticism you have to offer. The Bible IS a Holy Book, It contains Gods words, as such it does not need little old me to defend it. It's message has stood strong for well over two thousand years.. It remains and always will remain because Jesus said "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away".

you are free to correct me if you think I take something out of context in the Quran, I am not a Muslim, do not have an Islamic scholar to hand so I would not only expect you to correct me but would thank you for it. However, it could be done with tact and politeness..

I'll try and be clear.. There is nothing I am ashamed of in the Bible.. I never get mad when reading it.. (maybe slightly annoyed when muslims like your good self treat it with such callous disrespect) but never justifies anger. Nothing in the Bible makes me feel at all uncomfortable either.

My disappointment was at your personal low standards of how you treat the scriptures of others. I always thought muslims were taught to be respectful to others. Obviously this is a bigger ask for some than it is for others.

Jesus said ~ You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

and what category would you say you fall into? Not that it would bother you any... The teachings of Jesus I mean ;)

see... You could have started a thread in answer to my question.. Instead you waste time and effort on such trivia as this. :)

Peace to you.
