None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten but We substitute something better or similar- Knowest thou not that Allah has power over all things? S. 2:106
When We substitute one revelation for another- and Allah knowest best what He reveals (in stages)- They say, "Thou art but a forger"; But most of them understand not. S. 16:101

I believe in a God who is consistent and does not changes his revealed purpose because God is all knowing. If Allah, as the above Suras imply reserves the right to abrogate or cause to be forgotten certain verses then how can Allah be trusted to run things? Just as he changes his mind in relation to the revelation, he can also decide to change his mind in regard to the believer's ultimate destiny without anything stopping him from doing so. Where does this leave you? With such a capricious God...
