I talked about Song of Songs as one of the Bible's books .

Notice:

The arabic Bible's translation OT is divided into many books called ( sefer سـِـفـْـرْ )
ex : the book of Genesis/ the book of Exodus ....
I think it's clear now and the confusion is over.
yes I understood you.. Song of Songs is indeed one of the Bible books. I don't understand your issue with it. Unless you are applying the same standards to measure the Bible as you do for the Quran.. In which case it is you who do not understand. Unlike the Quran we do not claim the Bible is the word of God verbatim.. But the inspired word of God. As such, we find books.. That offer an historical account of an event or poetry.. Such as this. God did not dictate the words but the inspiration behind them is Gods. It also includes direct declarations from God through His prophets. I hope this has gone some way to clearing up your confusion on this matter.

Concerning this point i' totally agree with you .
I love the way muslims use words out of the context of which they are used so by giving them a completely different emphasis.. :) you do it with scriptures and you do it with our words.. Verily you have this down to a fine art form. It's impressive. Do you receive special training? ;)

You are one of the few christian who deny the divinity of this book (Song of Songs )..
Do you know who is exclaiming in admiration ??
and who is the lover mentioned in the book of Song of Songs ???

I advise you to read this :

I interpret the scriptures according to the guidance of the spirit. I am not overly concerned with the views of "scholars" they are just people.. Not perfect.. And people see things differently. I can't comment on catholic traditions because I don't know enough about them. You seem to be implying that the Holy Spirit (which Christians believe to be as God) admired and was lover to Mary..! *may God forgive me repeating this blasphemy.. He knows the truth of my heart** I have to take the Bible as my source on this and the Bible in no way implies that Mary is the subject... Or is in any way connected with the person who is the object of desire in the "Song of Solomon" I advice you to read the whole book, understand the context it was written in and you will see you and the person behind the article you posted are both in serious error. Besides being written centuries before Mary came into being.. I'm surprised at you... This is scraping the bottom of the barrel with this analogy.

As a Muslim i share with you the same opinion .
Then never be ashamed of that beauty.. or choose to dirty it confusing love with sinful lust.

In spite having some differents views ,
we are all assembled around the holy Quran an the sunnah.
Maybe i'disagree with Mr DEEDAT about the citation of our prophet in the song of songs ,
but he still remain a great apologist in my eyes .
I wish I could be like him .:)
Same for Christians.. We are united in the belief that Our way to salvation lies with Jesus. If one does not believe what Christ Jesus said about Himself or deny His teaching then we cease to be a Christian..

Mr Deedat was maybe great in the eyes of muslims.. Who have little or no knowledge of the Bible. To anyone with a modicum of Biblical knowledge could see his claims for what they were. He handled the scriptures of others dishonestly.. Weather this was intentional or born out of genuine zeal for what he believed was true we cannot determine. No doubt he has been judged on his works and we can never know. IMHO... There are better people you could emulate.

yes he is !

Isaiah 42 :

1-Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
my chosen one in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will bring justice to the nations.

11-Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices;
let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice.
Let the people of Sela sing for joy;

peace with you .
No he isn't. For every Bible verse you claim does ..can be and has been refuted. You cannot take a verse and use out of context to make it mean something else. That is what you do.. You see a word or phrase and bend and twist it to mean what you wish it to. It doesn't work like that.. The message of God cannot be changed.

Peace.
