It's a great shame that so many muslims choose to ignore their a prophets teachings. It never ceases to dismay me when I travel to predominately Islamic countries, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey and Egypt. The number of disabled people or otherwise disadvantaged who beg on the streets for their survival. Where are their caring and loving family and neighbours?

The message may be a good one but it does not mean people will always heed it. Oh, and don't confuse secular practices of past western society as a reflection of any religious teachings. A society can be judged on how it treats and cares for its weakest members. The west generally has a better record in this regard.
