Keep a dog or put a picture of a living creature and you will not die…!


One of those slanders that made me laugh is what one of them wrote:


To live forever, Keep a dog or put a picture of a living creature at your home, the Death Angel cannot enter to claim you…!
Because the Prophet of Islam says in Bukhary Corrects number 2986:
Narrated Abu Talha:

I heard Allah's Messenger (Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) saying; "Angels (of Mercy) do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or a picture of a living creature (a human being or an animal).

Refuting this slander:


First:
If all the pictures and the dogs gather in a place, this will not avoid act of Allah from taking place… the evidences are mentioned below:

1-Allah Almighty states: “Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. But if good comes to them, they say, "This is from Allah "; and if evil befalls them, they say, "This is from you." Say, "All [things] are from Allah." So what is [the matter] with those people that they can hardly understand any statement?” Al Nisa 78
“They cannot precede Him in word, and they act by His command.” Al Anbya 27
The Angles are servants of Allah and highly honored, they are devoted worshippers, they say nothing only what their Lord orders them to say, and do nothing only when their Lord permits them to do. From Maysar Interpretation.

2-Allah the Almighty states: “Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.” Al Emran 185


So nothing can prevent act of Allah from taking place.
Death is a door and everybody is enterer
I wish I knew how is the house after death
The house is an eternal Paradise if you did what
Satisfies Allah, if you did not it is a hell

Second:

The Hadith is about a divine secret, and we are obliged to believe in it, because we knew it through revelation, Angels do not enter a house wherein there is a picture of a living creature and dogs…
What is meant by (enter) is bringing mercy and asking Allah's forgiveness for the household…

The Angles that excluded from this state are the guardian-angels and Death Angel, Allah the Almighty reveals about the guardian-angels: “And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, (10) Noble and recording; (11) They know whatever you do. (12)” Al Infitar 10-12, Allah the Almighty reveals about Death Angel: “Wherever you may be, death will overtake you”.

This is quite clear from episodes during Muhammad’s (Allah’s peace and blessing be up him) time until nowadays that the Death Angel takes hold of the souls in house with statues, pictures and dogs in…. The evidence for what we mentioned before with more details is the following explanations:
1-The Nawawi Explanation of Muslim, he said: “Those Angles who do not enter a house with a dog and a picture in it are the Angels who tour with mercy, blessings and asking forgiveness, but the Hafatha angels enter all the houses, and never leave the human being, because they are ordered to count and write down what they do”. Al Khtabi said: “The Angles do not enter a house with a dog and a picture which are prohibited to be possessed, while those who are not prohibited like hunting dog, livestock and pictures printed on carpets and pillows do not prevent the Angels from entering the house, Al Qathi referred to what Al Khtabi said, it is apparently for all dogs in general, and all pictures, and they are all prohibited by clear hadiths, and the puppy in the Prophet’s (Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) house under the bed, he (Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) had had an obvious excuse because he did not know about it and this triggered Gabriel to refrain from entering the house , and the puppy was the reason, and if existence of dogs and pictures was allowed and did not prevent them, Gabriel would not had refrained. Allah the Almighty know the best.


2- The Ibn Hajar Explanation of Bukhary: Ibn Habban exaggerated and said that this ordain is connected with the Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him), thus he said. There is another hadith has the same meaning “Angels do not accompany the travellers who have with them a bell." he said it is relevant to companionship of the Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him), since it is impossible that pilgrimages to Allah’s House (for Haj and Humra) would not be accompanied by Angels while they are coming to worship Allah, ended here.. Ibn Hajar commented saying that this is far-fetched interpretation..


I said: but it might be possible: because Gabriel is prevented from entering the house and the puppy was the reason…

Third:


If said: Why did Islam prohibit making statues which is one of the fine arts…?


I said:
The Bible says that the Lord prohibited making statues, and may be preventing Angels from entering the house is one of the reasons why… and this is in texts which some are:


1-The Book of Leviticus Chapter 26 number 1-2:

1.Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God. 2 . Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.


2- The Book of Leviticus Chapter 5 umber 8-9

8. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: 9 . Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
