...Slander: A Prophet says: There is no contagious disease....

A Prophet says: “There is no contagious disease”!

There is a slander invented: The Prophet of Islam revoked medicine; medicine confirms that there are infectious diseases, the Prophet of Islam says: “There is no contagious disease”.! And after this he contradicts with his speech saying: and run away from the leper as one runs away from a lion!!
What a contradiction?!


They refer to what is written in Correct series, number 783,
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (A’s peace and blessings be upon himllah) said, '(There is) no 'Adwa (no contagious disease is conveyed without Allah's permission). nor is there any bad omen (from birds), nor is there any Hamah, nor is there any bad omen in the month of Safar, and one should run away from the leper as one runs away from a lion.''

Refuting this Slander


First:


The correct hadiths of ours is misunderstood by them; the poet was right when said:
So many correct sayings are criticized …….. and overlooked by a poor understanding
It is not suspicious hadith, but it is my duty to set right their misunderstanding, any way I will explain to them what is complicated to understand it.

His (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) speech: “There is no contagious disease”; i.e. no contagious disease ever occurs only by permission of Allah, he says: Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) said: “There is no contagious disease”. It is wrong concept of the hadith; the meaning: no contagious disease ever occurs only by permission of Allah after observing the causes this is the correct meaning, evidence for this is what the Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) says at the end of the hadith: “run away from the leper as one runs away from a lion.''

So, there is not a bit contradiction in this hadith as the objectors claim; the evidence for what mentioned before is what is written in Bukhari Corrects number 5330: Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) said, "No 'Adha." Abu Huraira also said: The Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) said, "The cattle suffering from a disease should not be mixed up with healthy cattle (or said "Do not put a patient with a healthy person as a precaution.") Abu Huraira also said: Allah's Messenger (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) said, "No 'Adha." A bedouin got up and said, "Don't you see how camels on the sand look like deer but when a mangy camel mixes with them, they all get infected with mange?" On that the Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) said, "Then who conveyed the (mange) disease to the first camel?"


I said: This hadith –the debatable one- is a representation of Allah’s statement: (And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction [by refraining]. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good. (195)Al Baqarah
And His statement: (And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful. (29) Al Nissa

Second:


Their claim that Allah's Messenger (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) revoked medicine is a ridiculous and false; because Allah's Messenger (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) answered them byhimself in many situation:


1-Muslim Corrects number 4084 Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) as saying:
There is a remedy for every malady, and when the remedy is applied to the disease it is cured with the permission of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious.


2- Sunan Abi David number 3376 Narrated Abu al-Darda:
The Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) said: Allah has sent down both the disease and the cure, and He has appointed a cure for every disease, so treat yourselves medically, but use nothing unlawful.
Al Albany conclusion: the first half is true, and the rest is weak the aim of the desired (66), The Niche (4538)// Weak of The Small Collection (1569)


3- The Correct Collection number 2930 Narrated Usamah ibn Sharik:
The Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) said: “Make use of medical treatment, for Allah has not made a disease without appointing a remedy for it, with the exception of one disease: old age.”


The foregoing information shows that their claim is incorrect - Thanks to Allah Almighty -

Third:


All of this hadith represents the true pure doctrine that denies polytheism, this is clear in a brief explanation of the hadith as follows:

His (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) speech: “nor is there any bad omen (by bird)”; in other words there is no pessimism in Islam, and (طيرة bad omen) came from (bird); because Arabs during pre-Islamic era thought of birds as sign of good and bad omen; they used to fly flock of birds if the flock flew to the right side they became optimist , if the flock flew to the left side they became pessimist and thus the Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) denounced the pessimism.

His (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) speech: “nor is there any Hamah, vermin”; the experts said: (Al hama, vermin) is owl, the Arabs had pessimistic view of its appearance and sound, the Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) denounced having pessimistic view of it.

His (Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him) speech: “nor is there any bad omen in the month of Safar”; Arabs were pessimistic about the month of Safar especially concerning marriage, the Prophet (Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) denounced having pessimistic view of this month, made it clear to them that it is a month like the other months Allah Almighty determines good and bad in it, human beings should not become pessimistic about it like the ancient Arabs did.

Fourth:


The Book of Luke mentions that who revoked medicine was Jesus the Christ; it states that he was not washing his hands before eating, and that leads to dangerous diseases, one day Jesus went to eat with a Pharisee man, and he did not wash his hands before eating, and the Pharisee asked him why you did wash your hand before eating Jesus cursed him….. It is written in The Book of Luke Chapter 11 numbers 37-46

37. And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.
38. And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.
39. And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.
40. Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?
41. But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.
42. But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
43. Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.
44. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.
45. Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.
46. And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
