From the translation of the Quran :
From SURA 67. AL-MULK (THE SOVEREIGNTY,Dominion ,CONTROL) :
1. Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty, and, He is Able to do all things.
2. Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving.
From SURA 21. AL-ANBIYA (THE PROPHETS) :
35. Every soul must taste of death, and We try you with evil and with good, for ordeal. And unto Us ye will be returned.
SURA 29. AL-ANKABOOT (THE SPIDER) :
1. Alif. Lam. Mim.
2. Do men imagine that they will be left [at ease] because they say, We believe, and will not be tested with affliction?
3. We did test those before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false.
4. Do those who practise evil think that they can outstrip Us? Evil is their judgment!
From SURA 22. AL-HAJJ (THE PILGRIMAGE) :
11. There are among men some who serve Allah, as it were, on the verge: if good befalls them, they are, therewith, well content; but if a trial comes to them,they turn on their faces, they lose both this world and the Hereafter, that is loss for all to see!
From SURA 64. AT-TAGHABUN (MUTUAL DISILLUSION, HAGGLING) :
11. No kind of calamity can occur, except by the leave of Allah: and if any one believes in Allah, [Allah] guides his heart [aright],for Allah knows all things.

From SURA 14. IBRAHIM (Abraham) :
42. And do not think that Allah is unaware (ignoring,neglecting) of what the unjust do, He only delays (respites) them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror].
43. Hastening forward, their heads upraised, their eyes not reverting to them and their hearts as air (vacant).
From SURA 18. AL-KAHF (The Cave ) :
58. And your Lord is the Forgiving, full of mercy. If He were to impose blame upon them for what they earned, He would have hastened for them the punishment. Rather, for them is an appointment from which they will never find an escape.
