As usual ,the missionary (the illusionist ) cuts and takes the verse out of context !
He wants to tell his followers - Using lies - that our great Islam is a bloody religion !
The illusionist wrote :
" And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah "

You must keep these things in mind when studying the Holy Quran :
1- you must acquire complete knowledge in the arabic language (very important) .
2- you must read the quran 's commentary (al tafsir) .
3- you must read verses in the historical and thematic context ( you must read the previous and following verse )
Here is the verse in its proper context :
( 55 ) Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not [ever] believe -
( 56 ) The ones with whom you made a treaty but then they break their pledge every time, and they do not fear Allah.
( 57 ) So if you, [O Muhammad], gain dominance over them in war, disperse by [means of] them those behind them that perhaps they will be reminded.
( 58 ) If you [have reason to] fear from a people betrayal, throw [their treaty] back to them, [putting you] on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not like traitors.
( 59 ) And let not those who disbelieve think they will escape. Indeed, they will not cause failure [to Allah].
( 60 ) And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.
( 61 ) And if they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing.

Here is the verse 's commentary ( tafsir ) :

Muslims should he equipped with military resources and should have a standing army in a state of preparedness, in order that it may be used when needed. Never should it happen that the Muslims are caught unawares and have to hurriedly look around right and left to build up their defences and collect arms and supplies in order to meet the challenge of the enemy. For then it might be too late and the enemy might have accomplished its purpose.
The armament project for the Self - defense , the predictive intelligence , to be able and ready to meet the enemies in the battlefield - especially those who break treaties - is legitimate and guaranteed in all laws .
Why do you protest !!!!
The illusionist avoid deliberately to mention the following verse which indicate the fact that Islam is the religion of peace!

To this illusionist and his gang we say :
Matthew 7 : 5
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
The Evangelical Jesus- YHWH - teaches to his followers how to act whith the unbelievers :
The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.
Deuteronomy 32 :25
A whisper in the ear of every christian ... look for the truth and you will find it .
We are ready for the inter- religion dialogue based on mutual respect .
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ
