    Default Becca In the Bible it refers to Makkah in the Holy Quran

    The word Baca appears in The Bible in Psalms 84:6 as well as The Holy Quran in verse 3:96. Baca (in Psalms) or Bakka (in Quran) refers to Mecca (Makkah, Saudi Arabia) where the first house of worship on earth was appointed by God for human beings. This house is the Holy Kabah to which all Muslims face while praying and go for Hajj (pilgrimage).
    The following verses are from the Holy Quran, Chapter 3: verses 95-102
    95. Say: "(Allah) speaketh the Truth: follow the religion of Abraham, the sane in faith; he was not of the Pagans."
    96. The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka: Full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings:
    97. In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.
    98. Say: "O People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, when Allah is Himself witness to all ye do?"
    99. Say: "O ye People of the Book! Why obstruct ye those who believe, from the path of Allah, Seeking to make it crooked, while ye were yourselves witnesses (to Allah.s Covenant)? but Allah is not unmindful of all that ye do."
    100. O ye who believe! If ye listen to a faction among the People of the Book, they would (indeed) render you apostates after ye have believed!
    101. And how would ye deny Faith while unto you are rehearsed the Signs of Allah, and among you Lives the Messenger. Whoever holds firmly to Allah will be shown a way that is straight.
    102. O ye who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam.
    The following verses are from The Bible's book of Psalms, Chapter 84.
    Pslams is believed to be revealed to Prophet David (Dawood) (peace be on him). The Holy Quran refers to the book as Zabur, which is not extant in its original form.
    The text below is taken from the NIV version of The Bible (http://bible.gospelcom.net )
    Psalm 84 :: New International Version (NIV)

    1 How lovely is your dwelling place,
    O LORD Almighty!
    2 My soul yearns, even faints,
    for the courts of the LORD ;
    my heart and my flesh cry out
    for the living God.

    3 Even the sparrow has found a home,
    and the swallow a nest for herself,
    where she may have her young-
    a place near your altar,
    O LORD Almighty, my King and my God.
    4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
    they are ever praising you.
    Selah

    5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
    who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.
    6 As they pass through the Valley of Baca,
    they make it a place of springs;
    the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
    7 They go from strength to strength,
    till each appears before God in Zion.

    8 Hear my prayer, O LORD God Almighty;
    listen to me, O God of Jacob.
    Selah
    9 Look upon our shield, O God;
    look with favor on your anointed one.

    10 Better is one day in your courts
    than a thousand elsewhere;
    I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
    than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
    11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
    the LORD bestows favor and honor;
    no good thing does he withhold
    from those whose walk is blameless.

    12 O LORD Almighty,
    blessed is the man who trusts in you.

    Ahmad Deedat comments in his book, The Combat Kit:
    7. BACA IS MECCA: the holy Ka'ba built by the prophet Abraham (PBUH) and his son Ishmael (PBUH) is in Mecca.
    The name Mecca (Makkah) is mentioned in the Holy Qur'an in 48:24. Another name for Mecca is Bakka, depending on the dialect of the tribe: this is also mentioned once, in Sura 3:96
    "Verily, the first house (of worship) appointed for mankind was that in Bakka (Mecca), full of blessing, and guidance for all people." Amazingly enough, this word Bakka is mentioned by the prophet David (PBUH) in the Bible:
    "Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well, the rain also filleth the pools." (Psalm 84:6)
    The well here is the well known well of Zam-Zam, still present now, close to the Ka'bah; after thousands of years.
