Default The Qur’an Cannot Be A Text of Divine Origin

    Hesham Azmy
The Christian missionaries tend to make the general conclusion that the Qur’an cannot be a text of divine origin because of the unacceptable meanings included in it. Perhaps they are correct in this conclusion and we may be inclined to agree with them due to the following reasons, which are:

The Qur’an does not say a prophet slept with his daughters.1

    2. The Qur’an does not say a prophet slept with his neighbour’s wife and plotted to kill him
The Qur’an does not say a prophet worshipped the Golden Calf.3

    4. The Qur’an does not say a prophet changed his religion, worshipped idols and built for them temples

    5. The Qur’an does not say a prophet told lies and that God deceived and destroyed another prophet

    6. The Qur’an does not say David, Solomon and Jesus were originally bastards from the seed of Pharez, son of Judah

    7. The Qur’an does not say the firstborn of the Great Prophet who was the firstborn of God slept with his stepmother

    8. The Qur’an does not say the second son of the same Great Prophet (firstborn of God) slept with his daughter-in-law

    9. The Qur’an does not contain lurid details and explicit pornography involving men of Assyria and whores from Egypt

    10. The Qur’an does not say John the Baptist, who was the greatest Israelite Prophet ever according to Jesus — though the least in the kingdom of God was greater than him! — failed to recognize his second lord on earth, although this lord followed him and got baptized by him. At least not until he saw the third god descending on this second god as a pigeon

    11. The Qur’an does not say the apostle of this god, Judas Iscariot, who performed many miracles in his name and was among the disciples who were greater than Moses and other Israelite Prophets according to Jesus, delivered his god to the hands of his enemies for 30 pieces.

    12. The Qur’an does not say Caiaphas, the high priest — who was a prophet according to John the Baptist — rejected, insulted and made a verdict to kill his god

For all the above reasons, we conclude that the Qur’an, unlike the Bible, cannot be a text of divine origin.

: That is the whole point of the title, to make non-Muslim read it. The references are given; I am shocked that such things are attributed to a holy book.

    hahahahahaha

The Title was deceptive and this is clever of Hesham !I also laughed at Magdy's reply!
    I liked reasons number 10 & 12 most !!
Hilarious! Reminds me of Eva's old topic "Miracles of the Bible " !

Well done Hisham , keep up undressing crooks!

Very disappointing :( if this is an example of your standards then for sure we have nothing to say. Shame I was hoping you were the one to answer the questions others have ignored.

Have a good life, may God guide you.

You know what amaze me about you Christians, you go on and on about your holy book, then you get upset when someone quote from it. In this article, I am quoting your holy book, is that something you feel ashamed of?? Would you get the same response from a Muslim if you post a verse from the Quran??

Surely, you can quote something out of context, and I can correct you, and you can do the same but every Christian get mad reading his own holy text! That is a mystery, if these words make you feel uncomfortable, how can you attribute such words to God, and these acts to his messengers?

Huria, enough already. You can quote what you like from the Bible or any other book you like. I am certainly not offended by any criticism you have to offer. The Bible IS a Holy Book, It contains Gods words, as such it does not need little old me to defend it. It's message has stood strong for well over two thousand years.. It remains and always will remain because Jesus said "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away".

you are free to correct me if you think I take something out of context in the Quran, I am not a Muslim, do not have an Islamic scholar to hand so I would not only expect you to correct me but would thank you for it. However, it could be done with tact and politeness..

I'll try and be clear.. There is nothing I am ashamed of in the Bible.. I never get mad when reading it.. (maybe slightly annoyed when muslims like your good self treat it with such callous disrespect) but never justifies anger. Nothing in the Bible makes me feel at all uncomfortable either.

My disappointment was at your personal low standards of how you treat the scriptures of others. I always thought muslims were taught to be respectful to others. Obviously this is a bigger ask for some than it is for others.

Jesus said ~ You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

and what category would you say you fall into? Not that it would bother you any... The teachings of Jesus I mean ;)

see... You could have started a thread in answer to my question.. Instead you waste time and effort on such trivia as this. :)

    Peace to you.
