Oracle Named a Global Power Seller in 2009 Banking Platform Deals by Leading Independent Analyst Firm

Redwood Shores, CA – July 13, 2010
News Facts

Leading independent analyst firm, Forrester Research, Inc., has recognized Oracle as a “Global Power Seller” for banking platform deals in its May 2010 Global Banking Platform Deals 2009 report.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Oracle has received this distinction.
Forrester Research defines Global Power Sellers as companies that had “more than 35 new banking platform clients in at least six regions of the world in 2009.”
Only Oracle and one other vendor were designated as Global Power Sellers out of the 17 companies surveyed for the report.
According to the report, Oracle had 56 of total 269 valid banking platform “new named deals” for 2009.
In the report Forrester Vice President, Principal Analyst Jost Hoppermann states that, “Oracle again shows the largest number of counted deals…Oracle won counted deals in all regions of the world, with the strongest focus on Asia Pacific, followed by Europe and the Middle East."
Hopperman also notes that, “(Oracle’s) signed functionality covered — with the exception of card management — all of the defined functional categories, from core banking over branch solutions to risk management and Islamic banking."
