News Facts

To help organizations chart the most efficient course to maximize the enterprise value of investments such as capital projects, software and systems development, new acquisitions and products, Oracle today announced the availability of Oracle's Primavera Portfolio Management 8.
The new release enables organizations to intelligently govern the selection of the optimal project or other investment portfolios, and successfully execute on all the selected projects and investments.
New management and analysis capabilities within Oracle’s Primavera Portfolio Management 8 increase an organization’s ability to proactively identify risks, analyze their impacts and take appropriate action through easily accessible data comparisons and trending analysis.
Primavera Portfolio Management 8 provides organizations with transparency into why portfolio investment choices were made, as well as visibility of progress and achievement of those investments.
Delivering an “Enterprise Portfolio GPS”

Oracle’s Primavera Portfolio Management 8 is the leading portfolio management software solution, providing unmatched versatility for enterprise portfolio management.
New capabilities within Oracle’s Primavera Portfolio Management 8 provide organizations with:
Easy access to historical and future data: A new versioning capability enables organizations to easily monitor changes and check progress against past performance and future milestones, improving accountability and the success rate of delivering on expected returns.
Faster portfolio analysis: Enhanced visual aids improve investment collaboration and comprehension, shortening the time between analyses and securing decision approval.
A single enterprise system to manage multiple types of investments: Improved ability to intelligently manage multiple investment types enables organizations so that they can make more timely decisions as they expand their portfolio management processes throughout the enterprise.
Tighter metric thresholds provide earlier warning signs when investments are not performing as expected, enabling organizations to proactively adjust their plans. An earlier understanding of which investments are not performing well enables organizations to more quickly deploy additional resources to improve low-performing portfolio investments, or delay or cancel those initiatives and move resources to other efforts to maximize return on those investments.
The new release features improved scalability and performance of the analytics server.
Expanded integration through the Primavera Portfolio Management Bridge to Oracle's Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management supports new options to summarize data for improved portfolio management, creating an end-to-end enterprise portfolio management solution that manages multiple types of investments including projects.
