    Default Torah and violence

    1 Samuel
    [15:3]
Go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass

    Psalms
    [137:8]
O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.

    [137:9]
Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

    Genesis
[19:31] And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
[19:32] Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
[19:33] And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
[19:34] And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our Father.
[19:35] And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
[19:36] Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.

    Exodus
    [34:13]
But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves
    [34:14]
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God
    [34:15]
    Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods , and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
    [34:16]
And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
    [34:17]
Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.

    Leviticus
    [20:9]
For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him
    [20:10]

And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
    [20:11]
And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. [20:12]
And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.
    [20:13] .
    [20:14]
And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.
    [20:15]
And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.
    [20:16]
And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

    Numbers
    [15:32]
And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day
[15:33] And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation
    [15:34]
And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him
    [15:35]
And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp
    [15:36]
And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses

    Deuteronomy
    [2:34]
And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain
    [3:6]
And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city
    [7:2]
And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them
    Joshua

    [6:21]
And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword
    Judges
    [19:23]
And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.
    [19:24]
Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.
    [19:25]
But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go
    [19:26]
Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light

    [19:29]
And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.

    Great job sister a always

Let's make a little comparison between what 's mentioned in Koran and the old testament....

    First
    The word ( sword) mentioned
406 times in the English copy
    390 in the Arabic one

In Quran it wasn't mentioned at all.....

    second,
we read what was mentioned about violence in the old Testament, let's see what's mentioned in Quran

1- 4|90|Except those who seek refuge with a people between whom and you there is a covenant, or (those who) come unto you because their hearts forbid them to make war on you or make war on their own folk. Had Allah willed He could have given them power over you so that assuredly they would have fought you. So, if they hold aloof from you and wage not war against you and offer you peace, Allah alloweth you no way against them.
4|91|Ye will find others who desire that they should have security from you, and security from their own folk. So often as they are returned to hostility they are plunged therein. If they keep not aloof from you nor offer you peace nor hold their hands, then take them and kill them wherever ye find them. Against such We have given you clear warrant.
4|94|O ye who believe! When ye go forth (to fight) in the way of Allah, be careful to discriminate, and say not unto one who offereth you peace: "Thou are not a believer;" seeking the chance profits of this life (so that ye may despoil him). With Allah are plenteous spoils. Even thus (as he now is) were ye before; but Allah hath since then been gracious unto you. Therefore take care to discriminate. Allah is ever informed of what ye do.

2- 42|39|And those who, when great wrong is done to them, defend themselves,
42|40|The guerdon of an ill deed is an ill the like thereof. But whosoever pardoneth and amendeth, his wage is the affair of Allah. Lo! He loveth not wrong doers.
42|41|And whoso defendeth himself after he hath suffered wrong for such, there is no way (of blame) against them.
42|42|The way (of blame) is only against those who oppress mankind, and wrongfully rebel in the earth. For such there is a painful doom.
42|43|And verily whoso is patient and forgiveth, lo! that, verily, is (of) the steadfast heart of things.

It's clearly shown the differences between the Islamic orders and the biblical one!!!!

So, which one calls for murder and violence; and which one calls for tolerance and caring about whom we fight if we have to ?!!!
    with my regards
