More Than 60 Communications Companies Worldwide Select or Extend Use of Oracle® Communications Software in First Half of Fiscal Year

More than 60 communications service providers worldwide selected or extended their use of Oracle® Communications applications in the first half of Oracle’s fiscal year – June 2009 through November 2009. These companies rely on Oracle to help drive new service creation and streamline business and operations support systems (BSS/OSS), while reducing operational costs.
Telstra, Australia’s leading fixed and mobile operator, selected Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper to support its Service Delivery Framework (SDF). The SDF will help Telstra to securely open its network to third-party developer partners to create innovative communications-enabled applications. The platform also will help Telstra implement new business models that generate revenue from partner relationships. With Oracle, Telstra is managing, integrating and charging its premium partners as efficiently as possible to maximize profitability. Telstra will work with Oracle Communications Consulting to complete the implementation.
Cosmoline, a Greek communications provider, selected Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management to launch its Wi-Fi services, replacing an existing SAP billing system. Cosmoline will leverage Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management’s flexible rating engine to accommodate all customer tariffs and quickly launch competitive plans into the market.
