‎Why this title under the beauty category and not under a religious center category? Why is hijab a different definition of beauty?

Everything precious is naturally hidden and protected. Diamonds? Deep in the earth. Pearls? Deep in the sea protected in a shell. Gold? Deep in mines, well hidden. Your bodies are much more valuable than any minerals. Why expose them? Hijab is not a different definition of beauty- its the only one

Beauty has far been misinterpreted by the fashion and “beauty” industry to boost their sales. These days, beauty is mostly about exposing your skin, decking yourself up with make-up and constantly bowing down to the “latest trends!”

This group endorses the Islamic perception on beauty.

Hijab is a different definition of beauty because it is our Creator’s command. Muslim women choose to obey Allah and this is the ONLY reason why we follow hijab and consider it beautiful. Apart from that, there are bonus benefits, praise is due to Allah, –

Real beauty of a woman is when she realizes the value of her body and innocence and guards them in a safe deposit (hijab), when she does not need to expose her body to feel beautiful, when she has the confidence to stand up for what she believes in (her belief in Islam), when she does not need the approval of others to feel beautiful, when her beliefs, character and intelligence matter more than anything else, when she is not degraded to a mere sex symbol, when she is not an easy prey for her sexual predators, when she does not bow down to anyone else other than Allah, Our Creator.

Women, women, women… Men must be feeling left out! Men are good-looking too, but unfortunately, the fashion and “beauty” industry is creeping into their lives too. Real beauty of a man is not in the fake 6-packs, bare-chested clothing, sparkling garments, all that bling-bling, display of the bottoms and messed up hair. Rather, real beauty of a man is when he dresses up modestly and neatly, when he lowers his gaze, when he walks on the Earth with humility, when he gives due respect to others, when he sets a good example and leads everyone to all that is good, when his beliefs, character and intelligence matter the most
